Lent Challenges

We offer two options for challenging yourself during Lent:

  • Activate's Chris Kennedy is running The Wellbeing Journey, a course developed by Hope Together - an exciting new series exploring holistic wellness for the body, mind and spirit. Presenters Simon Thomas (ex Sky Sports/Blue Peter) and Joanna Abeyinka-Burford (CBeebies) are our hosts on this 8-part series which starts at 8pm on 4 March. More details are available here and to sign-up, get in touch with Chris at office@activatechurch.org.uk.
  • Embracing Age is requesting help in spreading joy to those care homes through Crafting for Care Homes. For those who like knitting and crochet, sensory knitted aquariums are fun to create and particularly good for people with dementia. Care home residents also greatly appreciate 'cards of kindness' made by crafters. To get involved, please contact wendy@embracingage.org.uk.

Lent Online Sunday Services

Join us in worship during Lent from home. More details are available here.

Welcare Lent Lunch

This year's Lent Lunch on 7 March is raising money for Welcare, a charity based on Christian values working in South London and East Surrey with families who have children up to the age of 13. The focus of its work is to provide practical and emotional support and advice through one-to-one family support and group work programmes for children and parents. More details are available here.

Lent Discussion Group

‘Rooted in Love’ is a new book by Dame Sarah Mullally and her fellow bishops in the Diocese of London that provides ‘Lent reflections on life in Christ’. Our online parish discussion groups are exploring themes in the book together. More details are available here.
