Charities

We have a programme of fundraising to support local, national, and international charities such as:

GlassDoor

Glass Door

Glass Door is the homeless charity that runs the Winter Night Shelter (in which Teddington Parish participates) and provides support services for men and women affected by homelessness. Glass Door's vision is a world where no one has to sleep on the streets of London, and we’re working every day to achieve this. By partnering with churches to provide shelter and support, Glass Door is committed to supporting people get—and stay—off the street. Teddington Parish made a donation to Glass Door for Christmas 2020 and the letter of thanks is here.

Welcare

Welcare has been supporting children and families in their times of need since 1894. The charity exists to help families across South London and East Surrey not only survive but thrive, by accessing opportunities, building support networks and improving their life skills. Through Welcare, families receive both practical and emotional support via a range of targeted social work and support services, parenting courses, group work and mentoring services for children aged 8-13 and a Children’s Centre. It ensures children have the best possible start in life and a positive future.
