In June, Revd Mary Hawes, and Cathy Randall, leader of Church Mice, attended the launch of the National Month of Prayer for Parent and Toddler Groups at the Houses of Parliament. It was a thoroughly inspiring and joyful afternoon where we met leaders of church-based toddler groups from all over the country, from Cornwall to Penrith. You can read a report of the launch event here.

The month of prayer is an ecumenical initiative which happens in June every year, to encourage prayer for these church groups which provide a safe space for babies, toddlers and their parents and carers to play, have fun, build community and experience the love of God in a tangible way.

Our own baby and toddler group, Church Mice, runs in St Mary with St Alban at 10.30am every Wednesday throughout the year, apart from August. We begin with a 20 minute toddler-friendly, interactive service, and then get the toys and refreshments out for another 40 minutes of play and chat. No need to pre-book, just come along.
