Find Support and Friendship at Teddington Parish Cafés
We are delighted to be running a variety of cafés in Teddington Parish to support our Community: those living with memory problems or caring for someone who is, those who are grieving, those who feel isolated or anxious, and those who are simply looking for a friendly spot to enjoy a chat and a good quality coffee in the heart of Teddington. All are located at the Peter and Paul Centre, Church Road, Teddington TW11 8PS. Please see below for more details.
Upcoming Dates: 20 Jun, 4+18 Jul, 1+15 Aug, 5+19 Aug, 3+17 Oct
If you are living with memory problems, care for someone who is, or just enjoy a good chat, please come and join us. We offer an informal, friendly atmosphere, a warm welcome, free tea and coffee, and delicious cakes. We also enjoy a sing-a-long and a light-hearted quiz, and we would love to see you there. If you need any more information, or are interested in volunteering at the Memory Café, please email us at email@example.com.
Bereavement Café - 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, 1.30–3.00pm
Temporarily closed - taking a break over Summer 2023
We recognise that each journey of grief is unique and that different people can be affected in different ways. The café is a safe, informal and friendly space where there is the opportunity to talk and share stories with people who listen and meet others who are also coping with grief. The café does not offer counselling but we can provide details of local professional services. There’s no need to book, simply turn up on the day. For further information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Community Café - every Monday afternoon, incl. Bank Holidays, 1.30-4.30pm
The café is there for everyone but, we hope, will appeal particularly to those who feel isolated or anxious as a place where they can find sanctuary, enjoy a friendly chat and find out about local community activities and services. Initiated by Teddington Parish, in partnership with local NHS Primary Care Networks and disability charities, Ruils and Richmond Aid, the café hosts local social prescribers and their clients. For more information, please email email@example.com.
