Celebrating Five Years of Community Café: Monday 13 October, 2025
Come along and be part of the celebration: 12.30-3.30pm. With a Quiz and Raffle planned, as well as all the usual homemade cakes on offer, and Munira Wilson, MP, coming along around 1pm to mark the occasion too.
“It’s about the fellowship not the coffee – although that’s nice too!”
“It’s awfully sociable and a lovely atmosphere”
“It’s what’s needed, encouraging community”
This is some of the feedback received from visitors to the Teddington Community Café which is looking forward to celebrating its fifth birthday soon.
The Café is open every Monday from 1.30-4.30pm at the Peter and Paul Centre in the centre of Teddington - including Bank Holidays - and is there for anyone who fancies a chat, particularly those feeling socially isolated, anxious or excluded.
It has been lovely to see people come, meet others and over the weeks and months develop lasting friendships. Our customers range in age from nonagenarians to new-borns (with their parents/carers!) and newcomers are always welcome. We have started a book swap scheme and sell local jams and marmalades. The Café is also the ideal place to signpost local organisations offering interesting activities and valuable services. Just come along on Mondays and see for yourself.
If you would like to volunteer either at the café or by baking cakes then do let us know on communitycafe@teddingtonparish.org. We’re a friendly and inclusive bunch.
