Join the Holy Dusters, a small and friendly team who help keep the church looking its best. We meet every Thursday from 10–11am to dust, sweep, vacuum, and polish the brass and silver—followed by a well-earned coffee and chat for those who can stay.

St Mary with St Alban’s historic churchyard has not had a new burial for over 100 years, and many graves are untended. To help preserve this sacred space an Adopt a Grave scheme was launched, inviting anyone in the community to care for a grave or graves.
Since the scheme began, around 100 graves have been adopted—a wonderful testament to the care and respect for this shared heritage.

The churchyard is a peaceful oasis in the heart of Teddington, offering a haven for both people and wildlife. With its rich history and beautiful trees, it serves as a much-loved alternative to walking along the pavement, providing a space for reflection, rest, and connection with nature.
While the Council maintains the grass and clears the leaves, there is a dedicated team of volunteers which help ensure the churchyard receives the extra care it needs to remain a welcoming and attractive space for all.
