Our 10.00am Parish Communion this Sunday starts with a Palm Procession (with Nathalie and Trigger from Park Lane Stables) from St Mary's Parish Hall with Blessing of Palms followed by processing through Udney Hall Gardens and the Churchyard before arriving at church for the remainder of the service: an all-age traditional Parish Communion service with choir, followed by coffees in the Parish Hall, all are welcome.

We usually have Children's Church each Sunday, in term time (though not on Palm Sunday). Do you have a primary school aged child? They'll love the variety of activities in our 10am Children's Church programme. Where our younger members experience the fun of growing in faith with new friends. We'll be acting out stories, going on a treasure hunt, playing games, making crafts and more, with stickers to collect each week. Everyone welcome! Following on from last year's successful Passiontide concert, Teddington Churches' Singers are putting on a similar event.

Choral & orchestral items by Tallis, Byrd, Bach, Handel, Haydn, Faure & Tchaikovsky. Teddington Churches' Singers & Teddington Consort. Musical Director Derek Saunders

The performance is taking place at St Mark's Church, St. Mark's Road, Teddington, TW11 9DE. With a bar at the interval.

Any money raised will go towards the new build at St. Mary with St. Alban's church.

It promises to be a wonderful, moving evening.

We are delighted that our Teddington Community Café remains open every Monday afternoon, including Bank Holidays. Why not come along to enjoy a warm welcome, a chance to chat, quality hot and cold drinks and delicious home-made cakes?

The café is there for everyone but, we hope, will appeal particularly to those who feel isolated or anxious as a place where they can find sanctuary, enjoy a friendly chat and find out about local community activities and services. Initiated by Teddington Parish, in partnership with local NHS Primary Care Networks and disability charities, Ruils and Richmond Aid, the café hosts local social prescribers and their clients.

A friendly and informal social space for those experiencing problems with their memory, and for their Carers.

The café runs on the first and third Tuesday of each month (1.30-3.00pm) at the Peter and Paul Centre (formerly St Peter & St Paul's Church). We have held many Memory Cafés now and at each one, our dedicated team of volunteers has created a very welcoming and safe environment for our guests. We serve (free) tea and coffee and cakes and biscuits, and our guests and volunteers alike have enjoyed taking part in quizzes and sing-alongs as well as having a good chat.



Above all, the Memory Café provides the opportunity to make new friends and share experiences.

The course will be based on the Church of England's Lent resources for 2023 entitled Dust and Glory: A Lent journey of faith, failure and forgiveness . There will be a booklet to accompany the course with Bible readings, short reflections, prayers and practical ideas to help us draw closer to God during Lent.

As part of the support we offer to those who are grieving, we have a Bereavement Café, running on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.

We recognise that each journey of grief is unique and that different people can be affected in different ways. The Café will be a safe, informal and friendly space where there will be the opportunity to talk and share stories with people who will listen and meet others who are also coping with grief.

The Café does not offer counselling but we can provide details of local professional services.

We promise you a warm welcome together with tea, coffee and cake. The Café is open to anyone who feels they would benefit from what the Café offers. There's no need to book, simply
turn up on the day.

A friendly and informal social space for those experiencing problems with their memory, and for their Carers.

The café runs on the first and third Tuesday of each month (1.30-3.00pm) at the Peter and Paul Centre (formerly St Peter & St Paul's Church). We have held many Memory Cafés now and at each one, our dedicated team of volunteers has created a very welcoming and safe environment for our guests. We serve (free) tea and coffee and cakes and biscuits, and our guests and volunteers alike have enjoyed taking part in quizzes and sing-alongs as well as having a good chat.



Above all, the Memory Café provides the opportunity to make new friends and share experiences.

Each 90-minute session starts with reading/study of an item written by Thomas Traherne, (1633-1674). This is followed by further discussion and study, chiefly on church/religion themes, of items by other authors - often such near-contemporaries of Traherne as George Herbert, John Donne and Henry Vaughan.

Gerry Gregory aims to run 3-series of Traherne Reading Groups each year, with 6-sessions per series - on consecutive Thursdays. The dates for this series are: 8 12 22 29 Sept, and Oct 6 + 13.

Everyone is welcome to join. You don't need to be able to manage all 6 sessions and you don't need to have attended before. Also, you are very welcome to bring a friend with you.

Teddington in Flower 2023
After three years' absence, Teddington in Flower is set to feature once again, and we are participating, with Teddington Society:


* Our beautiful churchyard, will have drinks, homemade cakes and scones available from 2.15-5.15pm.
* The church handbell team will be ringing bells in the church at 2.30 & 3.30pm, where visitors can also see a special display of floral art.
* If you have young families that would like to be involved, we would like them to bring jam jars (which can be decorated) with their flowers, and we will save the front two window sills in church for this display.
* Those wanting to get involved in the care and maintenance of the churchyard, perhaps by adopting a grave will have an opportunity to talk to Alex Ruffer, now responsible for the scheme. She can be contacted on alex@teddingtonparish.com

OPEN GARDENS: this is a rare chance to discover some of our beautiful Teddington gardens and, for garden owners, a short moment to share a little of the joy our own plots bring us. Gardens, dotted around Teddington, ranging from walled to wildlife, cottage to artist will be open from 2-6pm. Plants and art will be available to buy at some. Tickets for the gardens: Early Bird tickets: £10; on the day: £12; accompanied under 16s free. Also, those arranging flowers would appreciate greenery and flowers being brought, and put in buckets at the back of the church between 3pm on Friday 21st and 10am on Saturday 22nd.

We are delighted that our Teddington Community Café remains open every Monday afternoon, including Bank Holidays. Why not come along to enjoy a warm welcome, a chance to chat, quality hot and cold drinks and delicious home-made cakes?

The café is there for everyone but, we hope, will appeal particularly to those who feel isolated or anxious as a place where they can find sanctuary, enjoy a friendly chat and find out about local community activities and services. Initiated by Teddington Parish, in partnership with local NHS Primary Care Networks and disability charities, Ruils and Richmond Aid, the café hosts local social prescribers and their clients.

As part of the support we offer to those who are grieving, we have a Bereavement Café, running on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.

We recognise that each journey of grief is unique and that different people can be affected in different ways. The Café will be a safe, informal and friendly space where there will be the opportunity to talk and share stories with people who will listen and meet others who are also coping with grief.

The Café does not offer counselling but we can provide details of local professional services.

We promise you a warm welcome together with tea, coffee and cake. The Café is open to anyone who feels they would benefit from what the Café offers. There's no need to book, simply
turn up on the day.

Each 90-minute session starts with reading/study of an item written by Thomas Traherne, (1633-1674). This is followed by further discussion and study, chiefly on church/religion themes, of items by other authors - often such near-contemporaries of Traherne as George Herbert, John Donne and Henry Vaughan.

Gerry Gregory aims to run 3-series of Traherne Reading Groups each year, with 6-sessions per series - on consecutive Thursdays. The dates for this series are: 8 12 22 29 Sept, and Oct 6 + 13.

Everyone is welcome to join. You don't need to be able to manage all 6 sessions and you don't need to have attended before. Also, you are very welcome to bring a friend with you.
