Teddington Mission Hub

The Church of St Peter and St Paul sits at the heart of our community on the crossroads of our busiest streets and its future is therefore of interest to everyone. There are some important developments underway so it is useful to clarify what is changing and what is remaining the same.

In March 2020 just before the first lockdown, the parishioners of the church merged with the congregation at St Mary with St Alban. A process is underway that will mean the building will be run by a charitable trust, known as Teddington Mission Hub, and will be renamed The Peter and Paul Centre. The ecclesiastical parish will be divided between St Mary with St Alban and St Michael, Fulwell.

The building remains consecrated for religious worship and several different churches currently hold services there as well as groups such as The Memory Café; The Community Café and others run by Activate, the new sports ministry. The adjacent hall remains available to all the organisations and community groups that currently use it. The vicarage in Bychurch End is now used for clergy housing and we, the congregations from both churches, remain committed to using all our buildings for our core purpose of ‘growing faith and friendship’.

The story of St Peter and St Paul is by no means finished. It is merely moving into a new phase, and when we have more information we will share it.
