Very few people find prayer easy and yet it can be key to our spiritual well-being and relationship to God. Our full Lent programme can be viewed here and below you’ll find suggestions to help with prayer along with details of organised prayer evenings and our Ash Wednesday services.

Thursday Prayer Evenings

We have offered an introduction to different styles of prayer on Thursday evenings in Lent, which began on 25 February. Now we have just one last service before Easter:

24 March at 8pm at St Mary with St Alban

Maundy Thursday Sung Communion with Washing of Feet

‘On the day before he died he had supper with his friends’. We gather to

share in the Last Supper, which includes the act of foot-washing, as Jesus

offered his disciples. It finishes with the stripping of the altars and the Watch,

a silent vigil to remember Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.
